Some prospective law school students (like my former college roommate) knew from the time they were 5 years old that they were going to be a lawyer. Others (like me) were less certain, and were considering a variety of other options as well. Although this Forbes article has a “Chatgpt feel” to it, it does a good job of laying out a variety of different factors to consider if you are on the fence about whether or not to go to law school.
I also would add that it makes sense to talk to some lawyers, if you can. Get a sense of the type of work they do, what they like and don’t like about their jobs, etc. And remember that no job is perfect – the key is to look for the best overall fit for YOU!
