In The Spotlight: The Mike H. Story

Please see below for another inspiring story of a current ScoreItUp student!  This time it’s about Mike H. and his stunning +24 point score increase on timed and proctored practice LSATs!

The Mike H. Story (SIU Summer ’15)

Mike H. was different than Adrienne L. (whose practice LSAT scores in the mid-170s were the subject of the last blog). The LSAT’s legal reasoning concepts were foreign to him, he had no background in the subjects, and he was not a good standardized test-taker. Mike knew the LSAT – a challenge for all students – was going to be especially difficult for him. However, Mike was motivated.

The result? Mike already has earned a practice LSAT score that is a stunning 24 LSAT points above where he started before his ScoreItUp training. Furthermore, Mike has been scoring in that range repeatedly on recently administered, timed and proctored LSATs in classroom settings.

What is the significance of a 24-point LSAT score increase? Consider the following:

  • A 24-point LSAT score increase represents an improvement of approximately 58 percentile!
  • The entire LSAT is graded on only a 60-point curve (from 120-180) – it doesn’t take much to see how substantial an increase of 24 points is.

Most importantly, Mike is now scoring in a range that puts him in a strong position to get into the law school he wants to attend. He previously had no chance of that.

Congratulations, Mike, for your outstanding work! And good luck to the countless other ScoreItUp students who have seen LSAT scores far surpass their expectations and went on to attend their dream law school!
